Six Years – $27,500
2 Comments »Posted in NewsApr 22, 2011
On April 22, 2005 my cousin Keith and I established Foundation 58 in memory of my father, Hazleton City Deputy Fire Chief Gabriel A. Mhley. We wanted to help others who were experiencing what we did during the time that my father was sick. Thanks to you, our supporters, we have been able to assist ten families in four states (PA, TX, OH, SD) by granting $27,500 since October 2007.
The past six years have not been easy, and we know there will be more challenges in the future, but we will overcome these obstacles and continue to help those who help us in their battle against cancer.
Today we remember the five members of the Foundation 58 Family that we have lost, and we continue to support and pray for those who are still fighting this horrible disease.
Keith Dierolf (Scranton, PA)
Bobby Shea (Scranton, PA)
Pete Stewart (Butler, PA)
Jaime Zapata (Mission, TX)
David Shema Sr. (Hazleton, PA)As an organization, we promise to continue on our mission to Help Those Who Help Us in their battle against cancer.
Thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Justin Mhley
President, Foundation 58

The website is amazing! Today is not only your 6th Anniversary… today would have been my dad’s 60th Birthday. Keep up the incredible work. I wish you continued success

Foundation 58′s new look is really terrific, Justin. I especially like the testimonials from recipients of grants…so much money goes into research but those who are receiving cancer treatment know the immediate need for help to pay for gas, overnight lodging..etc..great job..
